When you're looking for a place to host your fairy tale wedding or event, you want a venue with a certain amount of historic charm. With its rich history and exquisite 18th-century stone farmhouse, you'll find an exclusive wedding venue for both ceremonies and receptions at Melhorn Manor.
Melhorn Manor is a historic wedding venue in Lancaster County, PA, but was originally a 200+ acre farm that later became Florin's Village. Around the turn of the 1900s, the Melhorn family purchased the property and ran the dairy and horse farm. Then, in the late 1970s, John W. and Sandra Melhorn converted the barn from agricultural to commercial use. In 2017, Allory and Jessica Melhorn purchased and renovated the property, transforming it into a premier wedding and event venue.
It's at this place your indoor or outdoor wedding or event will come to life. You won't find a better wedding venue in Lancaster with stunning areas for photo backdrops, authentic stone walls and wooden beams, and today's luxurious amenities like suites for wedding party preparations.
Originally built in 1750, the Stone Farmhouse has many historic features but has been updated with modern amenities. The Farmhouse was one of the first houses built in Mount Joy. It was initially a Stagecoach Inn back in the 1700s and 1800s along the main turnpike from Middletown to Lancaster. The original mile marker stone, dating back to the 1700s, still remains in the front yard today!
The Farmhouse provides the perfect backdrop for stunning photo opportunities. When you want your wedding or event to be rich in history and have an air of elegance, you want a place with authenticity and charm. You'll find that at Melhorn Manor's stone farmhouse.
Our Equestrian Barn features original 1800s and 1900s architecture and has been newly renovated with modern amenities.
The Tobacco Barn was initially used on the fully operating farm in Lancaster County, PA, for drying and storing tobacco leaves. In the early 2000s, the Tobacco Barn was renovated by John W. and Sandra Melhorn and turned into a baseball and softball clinic.
When Allory and Jessica Melhorn purchased the property in 2017, they completed numerous additional renovations to transform the Tobacco Barn into a remarkable ceremony location and event hall. This space can be used year-round due to heating renovations and the installation of large historic windmill fans. Its natural beauty leaves little need for decorations, but feel free to add a personal touch.
Like the Tobacco Barn, the Corn Barn is an authentic piece of history from when the property was a farm in Lancaster County, PA. It was originally used to store the harvested corn and grain. This lightly renovated space is perfect for rehearsal dinners, gatherings and events, and smaller ceremonies.
The Corn Barn is also a perfect location for indoor yard games or elegant photo opportunities during inclement weather. This barn is for seasonal use only because it doesn't have the climate-control capabilities of our Stone Farmhouse or Tobacco Barn. However, it's still a wonderful location within our wedding venue located in beautiful Mount Joy. You'll find plenty of use for this charming area.
Melhorn Manor is accessible to everyone with eight front-row accessible parking spaces and easy access to both barn levels. There are over 150 paved and lined parking spaces available for guest use. We find this area provides ample parking opportunities—whether you have 50, 150, or 300 guests!
One of the best benefits of choosing Melhorn Manor as your historic wedding venue in Lancaster County, PA, is that you'll get the exclusive help of our owners, Jessica and Allory Melhorn.
